Meet Tash
I help trade and service businesses get the systems behind their business working properly, so jobs, quotes and invoices flow the way they should.
When things get busy, it's easy for the paperwork to fall behind. Systems get half set up, and everything starts to feel harder than it should. That's where I come in.
Some clients want me to sort their systems and look after the day to day behind the scenes. Others want to learn to run it all themselves. Either way works.
How It Started
My Work History
I've spent over 20 years in admin, operations and systems across mining, oil and gas, construction and other busy, real world industries, on site and project work where things had to work properly.
A big part of those roles was setting up admin processes and systems on new sites from scratch, and training administrators including trainees to run them, so every site worked the same way no matter who was on shift.
Over time I saw the same problem again and again. Good businesses with steady work, struggling behind the scenes because their systems weren't set up right. Things were missed, admin piled up, and everything felt harder than it needed to be.
Running My Own Businesses
In December 2021 I started Just Ask Tash to fix that. I've helped all kinds of small businesses since, and these days my focus is trade and service businesses: builders, plumbers, electricians, landscapers, roofers, cleaners and more. That covers setup and support in platforms like ServiceM8, NextMinute and Fergus, and the day to day workflows that keep the business moving.
In 2024 I also started Teepee Corner, a local party hire business here in Gladstone that I co-own. So I know firsthand what it's like to juggle bookings, quotes, invoices and customers while running a small business, and I use the same systems thinking in my own.
A lot of my clients also use me as a sounding board, someone outside the business to talk things through with before making a call on a new hire, a price rise or the next system to fix. It's one of my favourite parts of the job.
